FilmConvert Nitrate and CineMatch Now Support iPhone 14 Pro

FilmConvert has just introduced a new Camera Pack for iPhone 14 Pro. Using FilmConvert Nitrate and CineMatch plug-ins, it should now be easier to grade and match footage shot on Apple’s flagship smartphone. The Camera Pack is available to download for free for all existing users.

Year after year, Apple keeps trying to improve the imaging capabilities of its iPhone. The primary camera on iPhone 14 Pro has a 48MP sensor and the smartphone can record 4K ProRes and Dolby Vision HDR videos, while also offering a 2.8K Action Mode with “gimbal-like” stabilization and Cinematic Mode in 4K24p.

Now, this smartphone model is receiving support from the popular FilmConvert Nitrate and CineMatch plug-ins that are available for most video editing softwares, including Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro.

iPhone 14 Pro footage is now compatible with FilmConvert plug-ins

FilmConvert Nitrate and CineMatch plug-ins are respectively a film emulation and a camera-matching tool that can help you speed up your color grading workflow. These plug-ins are calibrated to work with an ever-growing list of popular camera models, which is now being expanded with added support for iPhone 14 Pro.

What’s interesting is that, along with the smartphone’s native video formats, the plug-ins are also compatible with 10-bit ProRes Log footage shot using Filmic Pro’s LOG V3+ color profile. So whether you work on tight news-gathering deadlines or have the time to carefully grade your footage shot on iPhone 14 Pro, FilmConvert has you covered.
