FilmConvert has just released new DJI Mini 3 Pro camera packs for its Nitrate and CineMatch plugins. As usual, these camera packs are available to download for free so you can easily color-match and grade your drone footage. Let’s take a closer look at these!
The DJI Mini 3 Pro was released in May 2022 and is one of the best sub-250g drones you can get. Indeed, the camera module sports a 1/1.3-inch 48MP CMOS camera sensor with dual native ISO. In addition, the built-in 24mm F/1.7 lens is relatively versatile, and the “portrait mode” that turns the camera 90° makes it perfect for capturing vertical video.
For filmmakers, the Mini 3 Pro can capture video in 4K60p with a maximum bitrate of 150Mbps in 10-bit color in a D-Cinelike color profile. Lastly, the fact that the DJI Mini 3 Pro weighs less than 250g makes it easy to fly legally in most countries, as you don’t necessarily need a drone pilot license.
FilmConvert Nitrate and CineMatch are color correction and color grading plugins for Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects. These plugins have simple controls designed to go from your brute footage to graded, polished footage quickly.
CineMatch is made to easily color-match different cameras by simply selecting your source camera model and your camera model target. On the other hand, Nitrate is a color grading tool that helps you replicate specific film looks, including the color and grain of various film stocks.
FilmConvert modifications/adjustments of your footage are based on the exact camera sensors’ data that you’re using. These camera profiles are all made in-house by the FilmConvert team. The company already has camera packs for multiple cameras, including FUJIFILM, Canon, Sony, Panasonic, and many more camera brands and models.
These new FilmConvert camera packs for the DJI Mini 3 Pro are compatible with the drone’s H.264/MOV 10-bit recording using the D-CineLike picture profile.
All FilmConvert camera packs are always available to download for free for all existing users. You can download them, along with support for a wide selection of other cameras, directly from FilmConvert’s website.
Also, CineD readers can get FilmConvert’s CineMatch and Nitrate plugins for 10% off. In addition, you can purchase individual plugins for Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or FCPX. Bundles are also available if you need to jump from one NLE to another.
