The FUJIFILM event Create With Us is coming to Minneapolis this weekend, running over two days. Paid, pre-event workshops are scheduled for September 27 to be followed by the main program on September 28. The event is taking place at the Walker Art Center, and will include photowalks, talks, gear tryouts, and best of all, the opportunity to network and connect with others who share a passion for visual storytelling.
The two-day event combines practical sessions with opportunities to connect. Guided photowalks head out around the city, presentations cover a range of stills and video techniques, and portfolio reviews are available for those who sign up in advance. Attendees will also find plenty of gear to try, from X Series cameras like the X-E5 to GFX setups, and FUJIFILM staff will be on hand for questions. If you’re already shooting FUJIFILM, the free Check & Clean service is included.
Optional, pre-paid workshops on the 27th will be led by Magnum photographers Zied Ben Romdhane and Yael Martínez, along with FUJIFILM creatives Bethany Mollenkof and Jasmine Quiñones. Romdhane introduces panoramic photography as a storytelling tool, and Martínez focuses on using natural and artificial light for expressive portraits. Mollenkof’s session is about developing a personal voice and pitching that idea to brands, while Quiñones has participants practice filming a short sequence and then walking them through post-production in a live edit session. You can sign up to attend a workshop here.
At the main event, presentations will include Reuben Wu, Jasmine Quinoñes, and Alejandro Cegarra, who was also the World Press Photo Long Term Project 2024 winner. You can also sign up for FUJIFILM Portfolio reviews, led by Bethany Mollenkof, Reuben Wu, Zied Ben Romdhane, and Yael Martínez.
Create With Us is FUJIFILM’s traveling event series designed to connect image makers with each other and with working professionals. While FUJIFILM gear is front and center, the workshops, photowalks, and networking are open to photographers and filmmakers using any brand.
General admission to Create With Us Minneapolis is $5, which includes access to presentations, demos, gear try-outs, FUJIFILM Check & Cleans, and entry to the Walker Art Center galleries. Workshops, portfolio reviews, and photowalks require separate registration at an additional cost. More details and sign-up for the pre-paid workshops are available through FUJIFILM’s official event page.
Are you planning to attend this year’s FUJIFILM’s Create With Us series? Will you be joining one of the workshops or dropping in for the main program? Let us know in the comments!

A camera was put in my hands at 16, and I’ve been taking photographs ever since. Before moving to Vienna, I worked as a photographer on film sets, telling stories as they unfolded behind the scenes. Since then, I’ve focused on immersive theater, both as a photographer and an actor. I am the photographer for the award-winning Nesterval ensemble, documenting the energy and atmosphere of their performances. I’m a teller of stories. Stories hold my interest. I’ll take on any project with a story to tell.
