fylm.ai 1.6 Update Released - Import Custom LUTs, Free LUT Packs, and LogC4 Export

fylm.ai has just released an update to its online color correction and color grading tool in version 1.6. This update now lets you import custom 3D LUT files in .cube format. There is also a Lutify.me integration with completely new LUT packs and five free LUTs included, and a LogC4 export option for ARRI ALEXA 35 users. So let’s take a closer look at all the fylm.ai 1.6 new features!

If you have never heard of fylm.ai, this is a cloud-based color-grading platform. As its name suggests, fylm.ai uses deep learning algorithms to create the precise look you want for your footage. With straightforward controls and easy-to-use tools, you can create dozens of unique looks in minutes.

Last year, we launched the CineD LUT builder powered by fylm.ai, a free online tool for creating LUTs for your project. You can watch our tutorial and introduction to the CineD LUTs builder tool below to better understand what fylm.ai can do for you.

fylm.ai 1.6 update – what’s new?

fylm.ai is updating and adding new features to its software on a very regular basis. With the latest fylm.ai 1.6, you can now import Custom LUTs (your 3D LUT files must be in .cube format).

This feature will be handy if you don’t want to start your grade from scratch or have already worked on set with a specific LUT and want to tweak it, for example.

fylm.ai works natively in the ACEScct color space, so if your LUT expects a color space other than ACEScct, make sure that you select the appropriate color space for the custom LUT when importing it. Currently, fylm.ai will support LUTs from various color spaces, including ACEScct, Rec709, sRGB, LogC3, LogC4, DaVinci Wide Gamut, and REDWideGamut.

The next update in fylm.ai 1.6 is the ability to export a LogC4 LUT, which you can then convert into ALF4 format and use in the ARRI ALEXA 35.

New Lutify.me LUT packs and free LUTs

Lutify.me is a well-known cinematic color grading 3D LUTs package provider, and they work closely with fylm.ai. So alongside Lutify.me’s new ACEScct LUT packages launch, you will also benefit from direct integration directly into fylm.ai.

The latest fylm.ai 1.6 update includes five free LUTs, available to all users, from the newly introduced Lutify.me LUT packs: Cine World Pro—Amy, Commercial Pro—Claire, Colour Film Boost Pro 10, Film Tone Pro 3, and Print Film Pro 2. The free LUT pack is available under the “Add Tool menu.”

Price and availability

The fylm.ai 1.6 update is available now, no action is required. You get the latest version as soon as you reload the App.

You can try fylm.ai for free, as well as our own CineD LUTs builder. If you want to unleash the software’s full potential, fylm.ai paid licenses are available to unlock more color grading options, including the “Magic Mode” used in the LUTs Builder.

For example, in the Pro plan for $16 per month (billed annually), you have more custom grading options, you can create separate projects, you have unlimited LUTs creation, 50GB of cloud storage, and you can comment and collaborate on projects and grades, and share your work directly with clients.

What do you think about all the latest fylm.ai features? Have you already tried fylm.ai or the CineD LUTs builder? What features would you like for them to add next? Don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments down below!
