Godox KNOWLED MG2400R LED Light Released – G-Mount, 2650W Power, Full Color Modes

Godox has released the KNOWLED MG2400R, a 2650-watt RGBWW LED light designed for high-demand film and commercial sets. It supports multiple color control modes, a wide CCT range from 1,800K to 10,000K, and integrates into existing KNOWLED systems using a shared G-Mount accessory interface and networked control options. Let’s have a closer look.

Godox has been steadily expanding their lineup. Less than two weeks ago, the KNOWLED MG6K High Power LED was announced, followed by a new lighting system, the RS60Bi/R, 60-watt LED monolights with multiple power options and an accessory ecosystem. Now, the company adds to the KNOWLED series once again with the introduction of the MG2400R.

Output and optical design

The MG2400R outputs up to 2,650 watts, positioning it for large-scale film and commercial lighting setups where high-intensity output is required. It can be used as a key, fill, or background light and is designed to support most light-shaping tools.

The fixture uses Godox’s G-Mount, which is shared across the MG2400Bi, MG1200Bi, and MG1200R models. The optical system is designed to align mechanical and optical components for consistent beam shape and even light distribution. This arrangement helps minimize light loss when used with compatible modifiers.

Color modes and control

The MG2400R uses an RGBWW LED system that combines red, green, blue, warm white, and cool white sources. It supports a range of color modes, including CCT, HSI, RGBW, X/Y coordinate selection, and gel emulation. The correlated color temperature is adjustable between 1800K and 10,000K. There are 14 built-in FX modes included for effects such as flicker, fire, or TV simulation.

A green–magenta shift function is included for color correction or camera sensor matching. Dimming is adjustable from 0 to 100%, with selectable dimming curves. The output is regulated to remain flicker-free, including during high-frame-rate recording. According to Godox, output and color consistency are maintained throughout the CCT and dimming range.

Tough shell, cool core

The MG2400R features a metal housing and carries an IP54 rating, offering protection against dust and water spray in indoor or partially sheltered setups. Cooling is handled by an internal system with variable-speed fans that adjust to the fixture’s temperature to maintain consistent performance.

The MG2400R can be operated via its onboard control box or remotely through DMX, CRMX, Ethernet, Bluetooth, and the Godox KNOWLED app. These options allow it to be used in both isolated setups and networked lighting systems.

Connected and compatible

It shares the G-Mount accessory interface with other fixtures in the series, including the MG2400Bi, MG1200Bi, and MG1200R, so the same projection attachments, Fresnel lenses, and reflectors can be used across models. Godox states that when configured with matching settings, fixtures in the KNOWLED full-color line are designed to produce consistent output and color performance.

Price and availability

The MG2400R is available now and ships with both the light head and power controller. Three configurations are currently listed:

  • Light and Power Controller only – $7,999
  • With Flight Case – $8,190
