Godox BeamLight Max90 Modifier Enables Parallel Beam Lighting

Godox announced the BeamLight Max90 modifier at NAB 2024 and Graham was there to meet Jameson Brooks from Godox to get a first impression of the prototype of this large modifier for the G-Mount, which creates parallel beam lighting.

If you are looking for the most impressive-looking pieces of gear we’ve seen at NAB 2024, Godox BeamLight Max90 is definitely part of that list.

Turn your light into a “laser” beam

The BeamLight Max90 can be fitted to all lights using the G-mount system. It will create a beam of light in a 5-degree parallel angle. This allows many uses e.g. for creating volumetric lighting using a cine reflector or as a spotlight. It has been specially designed to replicate sunlight over long distances.

Possible combinations

The modifier will work with all G-mount lighting systems such as the KNOWLED MG2044Bi and the MG1200Bi. The yoke design makes it easy to adjust the angle. It will be delivered in its own flight case.

The modifier is 104.9cm/41.3in wide and (including the yoke) 151.8cm/59.8in tall. The modifier does not have its own cooling system, but according to Godox, it does not get too hot.

Pricing and availability

The Godoy BeamLight Max90 will be priced at approximately $7,500. No release date has been set so far.
