NANLITE Bowens Mount Projection Attachment 25°–45° Introduced

NANLITE has launched a new Bowens mount projection attachment designed to offer filmmakers a lightweight and highly portable tool for creative light shaping. The NANLITE PJ-BM-25-45 brings zoom functionality to Bowens mount users in a compact form, offering a variable 25° to 45° beam angle for more control in dynamic shooting environments.

The attachment works with Bowens-mount fixtures under 800W, including NANLITE’s Forza, FS, and FC series lights. It’s also compatible with many third-party LED spotlights, broadening its use across various setups. With its ability to precisely concentrate output and focus light where needed, it adds precision to location and studio work alike.

Zoom functionality without reassembly

Unlike many traditional projection systems, the NANLITE Bowens Mount Projection Attachment, with the resounding name “PJ-BM-25-45,” allows users to change the beam angle with a simple rotation of the zoom ring. A fully rotatable 360° lens barrel allows beam adjustments without removing gobos or modifying shutters, making it fast and flexible on set. This enables quick transitions between wide and narrow beams with minimal downtime.

Optimized optical performance

Engineered for clarity and color accuracy, the projection attachment features aspherical optics, anti-reflective coatings, and a matte inner barrel to reduce stray light. This results in sharp beam edges and reduced chromatic aberration, especially useful in controlled lighting setups for narrative or commercial work.

Aperture blades are included to fine-tune beam edges, and an optional 18-blade iris diaphragm is available for even more detailed control.

Lightweight, no yoke required

Weighing in at just 2.68kg (5.91lb), the PJ-BM-25-45 is light enough to mount directly onto compatible LED fixtures without a yoke. Built from aluminum alloy and composite materials, it’s designed for fast setup and easy transport. A dedicated carrying case is included for protection on the go.

Creative flexibility with gobos and gels

The built-in gobo holder supports M-size gobos and includes four patterns out of the box. It also works with third-party gobos and two optional NANLITE gobo sets. A gel frame is provided for fast gel swaps, and magnetic aperture blades enhance beam precision.

Durable and heat-resistant

With high thermal conductivity materials and solid construction, the attachment handles prolonged use with high-output LED lights. It’s built to endure demanding production schedules while maintaining consistent optical performance.
