Chinese lens manufacturer TTArtisan has just released new FUJIFILM X-Mount and Sony E-Mount versions of its 50mm F/0.95 APS-C lens. So let’s take a closer look at this fully-manual glass!

The TTArtisan lineup of fast manual lenses at affordable prices continues to grow at a very constant speed. If you work with an APS-C sensor camera, the company has already launched the 35mm F/1.4 and 40mm F/1.4 APS-C Macro lenses recently. In addition, TTArtisan is back with FUJIFILM X-Mount and Sony E-Mount versions of its 50mm F/0.95 APS-C lens.

TTArtisan 50mm F/0.95 features

The TTArtisan 50mm F/0.95 is a compact prime lens with a length of only 61mm/24in for a weight of around 411g/14.5oz. Like most TTArtisan lenses, this new 50mm F/0.95 APS-C lens is a fully manual lens, mainly made of metal.

This 50mm lens covers APS-C sensors and was already available for Micro Four Thirds, Canon RF, Canon M, Nikon Z, and Panasonic L-Mount cameras. In addition, FUJIFILM X-Mount and Sony E-Mount shooters will now be able to shoot with this fast 50mm lens.

The company already had a 50mm F/1.2 APS-C lens in the lineup, so if you need an even faster piece of glass, this F/0.95 version for FUJIFILM-X and Sony-E mount cameras will be an excellent choice.

Lens design

In terms of lens design, the lens consists of 8 elements in 6 groups. Also, it has two high index elements. Furthermore, the aperture diaphragm consists of 10 rounded blades, and the aperture ring is clicked. Lastly, the front filter thread is 58mm, and the minimum focusing distance is only 0.5m/1.6ft.

The TTArtisan 50mm F/0.95 is available now for $218.00. As a direct comparison, the slightly slower TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 is $98.00.
