Wooden Camera Releases New Accessories for Panasonic LUMIX BGH1

Wooden Camera, the Dallas-based designer / manufacturer of professional camera accessories, is now shipping a full range of accessory kits for the Panasonic LUMIX BGH1 camera.

Divided into three production-ready kits, Wooden Camera centers the BGH1 accessories around a compact and low-profile Camera Cage. The three kits include the Base and Advanced tiers, as well as a Pro tier either in V-Mount or Gold Mount. The Panasonic BGH1 is a modular digital cinema camera with a miniature box-style form factor and an M4/3 sensor. An ideal tool for multi-camera environments, the BGH1 can be made more versatile with help from Wooden Camera.

The Core

Each kit for the Panasonic LUMIX BGH1 (review here) is built around a sturdy camera cage with a wrap-around design. It provides solid support as well as an array of industry-standard 3/8″-16 and 1/4″-20 mounting points. The sides show clear marks that indicate the camera’s focal plane and the addition of an ARCA Swiss Top Plate allows for mounting handles, monitors, or other accessories.

The accessories and options

While the Panasonic LUMIX BGH1 accessories can be purchased separately, the bundle kits are a great way to make you production-ready.

The Base Tier comes with the Panasonic LUMIX BGH1 Camera Cage, as well as an LW 15mm Baseplate, and the Mini Top Handle. The handle utilizes a captive 3/8″-16 bolt-on mechanism with removable safety pins for sturdy mounting.

Building upon the Base Tier, the Advance Tier comes with an 8″ ARRI standard dovetail and two 9″ 15mm rods. Meanwhile, the Pro Tiers provide 12″ 15mm rods and a Micro Battery Slide configured in either V-Mount or Gold Mount. These new camera-specific Micro Battery Slides feature two D-Tap ports and a digital fuse. Both micro and full-sized batteries can be used with the Micro Battery Slide.
