FUJIFILM FUJINON XC13-33mm F/3.5-6.3 OIS Compact Zoom Lens Introduced

Alongside the launch of the FUJIFILM X-T30 III, the company also introduced their smallest zoom lens to date: the FUJINON XC13-33mm F/3.5-6.3 OIS. This entry-level lens is designed for everyday use and features a 4-stop Optical Image Stabilization mechanism. It can autofocus in as little as 0.025 seconds, and it has a minimum focusing distance of only 20cm/7.87in. So, let’s take a closer look at it!

FUJIFILM invested significant time, resources, and energy into the GFX ETERNA 55, which had been teased for months before its official release in September 2025. Meanwhile, the company also continued developing its mirrorless camera lineup and has now introduced the X-T30 III alongside a new compact zoom lens: the FUJINON XC 13-33mm F3.5-6.3 OIS.

FUJIFILM FUJINON XC13-33mm F/3.5-6.3 OIS – features

The FUJIFILM FUJINON XC13-33mm F/3.5-6.3 OIS is a compact and lightweight zoom lens that measures only 3.75cm/1.48in (when retracted) and weighs 125g/4.4oz. According to the company, this is their smallest and lightest zoom lens in the current lineup. As you can see, this lens doesn’t have a constant aperture or a wide zoom range, but keep in mind that it is an entry-level lens designed for everyday use.

Even though this is a compact lens, the XC13-33mm F/3.5-6.3 OIS still features a 4-stop Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) mechanism. This stabilization system is very welcome, as this is not a particularly fast lens, so it will be helpful in low-light situations when you need to lower your shutter speed, for example.

The lens design of the XC13-33mm F/3.5-6.3 OIS features ten elements in nine groups, including four aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements to reduce chromatic aberration and lens distortion. The aperture diaphragm features nine blades, which should give you a nice-looking circular bokeh. The front filter diameter is 49mm, and the minimum focus distance is 20cm/7.87in across the entire zoom range. Lastly, FUJIFILM mentions that the lens can autofocus in as little as 0.025 seconds, which is quite impressive.

The FUJINON XC13-33mm F/3.5-6.3 OIS will be available in late January 2026 for a price of $399.95 / €316.30.
