The new firmware v01.00.0200 release for the DJI Mini 3 Pro adds support for FocusTrack, QuickShots, and Hyperlapse in vertical/portrait mode. On top of that, it also adds support for continuous auto focus in video mode, a power saving USB mode, and a two-second interval option for Hyperlapse after takeoff. Let’s take a look at everything that is included in this fresh update.
The previous update to the DJI Mini 3 Pro (firmware v01.00.0100) added a host of cool new features like 10-bit color in the D-Cinelike picture profile, true vertical shooting, and others. Although it might not be as exciting, firmware v01.00.0200 gives us some much needed fixes and adds a few new tricks to this sub-250g drone’s wheelhouse.
The new firmware (v01.00.0200) for the aircraft was released on June 30th along with DJI RC-N1 firmware v04.14.0221, DJI RC firmware v01.01.0000, and a DJI Fly App v1.6.8 for iOS and Android. An update to v1.6.8 or higher is required to access the updated features.
DJI makes updating the Mini 3 Pro extremely user friendly. Simply update the DJI Fly App on your mobile device, and power on and connect to the DJI Mini 3. You will then be promoted to update the aircraft firmware to the latest version. For the update to function properly, all of your DJI components should be updated to the latest firmware as well.
The DJI Mini 3 Pro was announced this past May, and supplies have been slowly hitting the retailers shelves. With new features like 48MP still photos, 4k60 video, multi-directional collision sensors, and a sub-250g total weight, this drone is sure to be a popular one.
