Don't Loose This Card.

Don't Lose This Card.

Silicon-Power released a 128GB 400x CF card. The UDMA enabled compact flash card is one of the largest capacity CF cards out there. Documentary film makers should rejoice! This little puppy should hold hours of footage that could easily be lost in some one’s pocket or purse forever! I personally do not recommend using anything over 16GB, but I am a sissy when it comes to loosing footage.  Here are some of the specifications of  this monster CF card. No mention of price yet.

I could be wrong but thought I had read that the 7D wouldn’t work properly with any card over 32 gigs?

I will look into that. It does not sound correct. Do you have anything to support that info?
Thanks,
Jared

Very nice! I will probably pick up a few of these when they’re available. For now I’m using a cheap slow 16gb card — adequate for in the area, but when I start going on longer backpacking trips again in spring / summer, it obviously won’t suffice.

Without the possibility to shoot beyond the 12min 2GB limit, who cares? Backup to a HD is still a necessity.
