SIRUI SVT75 Rapid Tripod Teased – with One-Step Height Adjustment

SIRUI just announced that on September 8th, 9:00am ET, it will release the SVT75 rapid tripod system on Indiegogo. This new “One-Step Height Adjustment Video Tripod” will be offered as a single product in two versions (LITE and PRO), or together with the company’s SVH15 video fluid head. Let’s take a closer look.

SIRUI, the Chinese company that consistently offers solid filmmaking equipment at an affordable price, is about to do it again. Recently, we reviewed their capable, budget-friendly Nightwalker Cine Lenses kit that was offered at an unbeatable price of $309 per lens. (This lens crowdfunding campaign closed with close to 1000 backers and made almost 650,000 USD).

Now, what SIRUI did with lenses, they are about to do with a midrange tripod (and tripod fluid head) – offer a good quality product at an extremely affordable price for the first 400 units. But before we look at prices, let’s see what is actually behind the offer, and why we think that this might be attractive.

SIRUI SVT75 Video Tripod System

As I mentioned above, the tripod legs will be available in two versions (LITE and PRO), but first, let’s see what those two models have in common:

• The LITE version weighs 3.5kg/7.7lb

• The mid-level spreader is not included in the LITE version but can be added

• The PRO version weighs 4.3kg/9.5lb

• Comes with a 75mm half bowl Quick Release handle

• Comes with a detachable strap

• Comes with a mid-level spreader

There will be several kits to choose from:

Perk A (Limited to 400 pieces): The SVT LITE will be offered for $399 instead of $549 (Savings of $150)

Perk B: The SVT75 PRO will be offered for $519 instead of $649 (Savings of $130)

Perk C: is limited to 400 pieces and includes the SVH15 fluid video head only, and it will be priced at $499 instead of $649 (Savings of $150)

Perk D: Includes the SVT75 LITE tripod legs and SVH15 fluid video head for $879 instead of $1099 (Savings of $220)

Perk E: Includes the SVT75 PRO tripod legs and SVH15 fluid video head for $959 instead of $1199 (Savings of $240)

Thoughts

Flowtech tripod, a system that was originally introduced by Sachtler back in 2017, is attracting many other manufacturers to design similar solutions for deploying fast height adjustment. But next to that, it feels as if we are living in an age where filming equipment is getting better and cheaper by the day. The competition is extreme, especially when it comes to peripheral production equipment like lenses, lights, wireless mic solutions, tripods, sliders, and such, and I’m curious about the reactions of established brands from our companies.
