There are many good bags from reputable manufacturers available, but in our opinion, none truly support us in the field. This is why we here at CineD decided to design our own bag—one that accompanies and greatly supports you in tough daily production life. Now it is time to look for a serious, capable bag manufacturer to realize our dream.

Here at CineD, we keep expanding, and next on our to-do list is coming up with some selected original products aimed at helping filmmakers while working in the field. With that in mind, our priority will be to cater to documentary filmmakers, as Nino and I have vast experience working on such projects, in addition to traveling the globe fulfilling assignments.

There are so many bags on the market—why a CineD bag?

As previously mentioned, we believe that we can shake up the sleepy bag market by creating something a bit different, with “never-before-implemented” unique features. Based on our filming experience, independent filmmakers might be excited to see those new bag features implemented, helping them get through a demanding production day more easily. So in a nutshell, our bag will not be cool but rather practical, which, in a way, is more than cool!

Why not a crowdfunding campaign?

Being responsible means securing a capable manufacturer behind us before involving the community and “asking fellow filmmakers for their hard-earned money.” When we have this locked down, we will consider the option of conducting a crowdfunding campaign, as it is a great way to create interest and excitement.

Did we talk to manufacturers already?

We were in contact with a reputable manufacturer, but this contact did not materialize into developing and manufacturing our bag. Off-the-shelf components are generally good, but not good enough for some of the ideas that we have. Therefore, we will require the manufacturer to invest in some molding to comply with what we want to achieve.
