April 25th, 2022 Jump to Comment Section

The new Aputure LS 600c lamp features an RGBWW chip capable of full-color 600W output which makes it the strongest RGB Light Storm lamp yet. The light features a Bowens mount, custom color-blending optics, high output of 4,150+ lux at 3 meters with the included reflector, weather resistance, and flexible connectivity. The LS 600c Pro will be available in early Q3 2022 for $2,490.

The Light Storm series is Aputure’s flagship point-source series of Led lights. When it comes to maximum output, Aputure offers the LS 1200d Pro (check our review here). The second most powerful Light Storm lamps are the LS 600 series. Up until now, Aputure offered two versions of the light – the LS 600d daylight 5600K version and the LS 600x bi-color (2700K – 6500K) model. Now, the company launches a third version with a full-color output – the Aputure LS 600c Pro. Let’s take a look at the new RGB Light Storm.

The new Light Storm 600c Pro features a new RGBWW LED chipset capable of 600W of total output. Naturally, it has the industry-standard Bowens mount so it is compatible with a wide variety of accessories and modifiers. The light comes with the LS 600 series hyper reflector which enables to concentrate the light output and reach 4,150+ lux at 3 meters. With the BM1215 Hyper Reflector (available for purchase separately), the light can even output 17,480+ lux at the same distance.

When it comes to color reproduction, Aputure claims that the LS 600c can achieve SSI (daylight 5600K) of 74 and SSI (Tungsten) of 85. It also features a wide CCT range of 2,300K to 10,000K, green magenta adjustment, and the ability to reproduce >90% of colors within the Rec.2020 Color Space.

Furthermore, the LS 600c features a new UX with easy access to all the modes, 10 user-programmable presets, and other advanced features, such as max & constant output modes, frequency selection, 4 fan modes, 4 dimming curves, and 15 lighting FX. Same as the Nova series, the LS 600 Pro features useful color controls (including XY, RGB, source & gel presets, as well as advanced HSI with white-point adjustability), and professional connectivity options (including LumenRadio CRMX, 16-bit DMX512, and Artnet & sACN via etherCON).

When it comes to powering, the 600c Pro takes advantage of V-Mount or Gold Mount battery plates that feature both multi-voltage compatibility and active battery-charging functionality. The control box can also accept 48V/15A DC power via 3-pin XLR, allowing it to be powered via external battery power stations or block batteries.
