It is now available for pre-order for $269 together with a wide range of different power cables. Let’s take a closer look at this versatile device!

Have you ever had power supply problems with your sound recording devices during a shoot? And felt the cold sweat on your forehead, knowing you could run out of power in the middle of an interview, but you can’t interrupt the director in the flow of questions? Well, if you ever had such an experience you should look at Deity’s new SPD-1 power distribution box. This small device is designed to make your life easier on set and also a bit more stress-free.

Deity SPD-1 Power Distribution Box – overview

The Deity SPD-1 Power Distribution Box has three different hot-swappable DC inputs, accepts external power from smart, and non-smart batteries and power banks, and distributes it up to six different power consumers. When the batteries provide data, the small 1.1-inch color display on the front of the Deity SPD-1 box shows the battery’s telemetry data, like battery temperatures, voltage, battery life, and battery cycle count, as well as the total current consumption drawn from all the connected devices.

The Deity SPD-1 looks compact and robust enough to be placed in a sound bag, on a table, or on a sound rack and has a reversible mounting clip. You can lock the toggle switches to make it easy to turn your devices on and off, and it also helps to prevent randomly losing power. The Deity SPD-1 features two 1/4” threaded mounts, allowing you to mount the device in any desired position on the sound rack.
