Not to take away from this site, but, DigitalCameraWorld has some of the specs for the camera in their article if anyone’s interested.

https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/news/canon-set-to-announce-rf-cinema-camera-with-4k-120p-and-3-memory-cards

Seems like a mix of the Canon XC10/15 and the C200, combining the XC10’s ability to mount a 4K camera to a gimbal and the recording power of the C200.

I have successfully mounted a C100 to my Moza Air 2 but it was facing towards me instead of the correct way due to the weight of the camera. I think something of this size would be easier to work with especially if it has removable lenses.

Let’s see how much the marketing department was able to limit, again, the power for a new camera.

It’s the Canon 24k Thumbcam!

Peel off the tape back of your thumbcam and stick firmly in the center of your thumb.

Power on.

Film 1 second of 24k video and then to cool off….

It’s gonna be their small box Z Cam-like modular camera.

Hope it’s interchangeable lenses.

Probably to place below the C100 as a b cam or run n gun setup

What is everyone hoping it will be? I know a lot of C100 owners who feel left out over the last couple of years …

Interesting. Let’s see how it will compete with the older but capable C200 and with the mind blowing Red Komodo.

But isn’t it really time for a lower end cinema camera from Canon below the C200? For many it feels like they have abandoned the entry level video market altogether. That’s not only true for Canon but also for Sony (which actually also announced that the FX6 will be coming soon.)

Interesting times!!!

Spreading rumors? We don’t know anything yet. We never spread rumors. I’m just personally hoping – like many others – that Canon hasn’t forgotten the entry level filmmakers.

It’s just fun and games. We all want something different. I’m hoping for basically a red Komodo with an RF Mount and auto focus that will basically decimate red’s new camera. In the same small cube form factor. Idc if it’s 6k or 5.4k etc.
