SWIT Mini-150B Released - A Compact 150W Bi-Color COB LED Light With Built-in V-Mount

SWIT has just released the Mini-150B, a palm-sized bi-color COB LED light with a built-in V-Mount and USB-C PD power capabilities. With a claimed maximum output of 150W, this tiny light sounds like a great companion for interviews, podcasts, and run-and-gun productions. So, let’s take a closer look at it!

Chinese manufacturer SWIT has built a solid reputation over the years, mostly for its powering solutions, including V-Mount, Gold Mount, and B-mount batteries. SWIT later expanded its range of products to field monitors such as the latest rugged X21 model we did a torture video on at NAB 2026. While SWIT’s target has always been professional cinematographers, rental houses, studios, and production houses, the company recently began introducing smaller accessories and more affordable solutions for content creators and filmmakers, such as the OMNI series of batteries. Now SWIT is expanding that logic and continues pushing into the lighting market with the introduction of the Mini-150B, a pocketable and affordable COB fixture.

SWIT Mini-150B – features

The SWIT Mini-150B is a small, cube-like LED light measuring only 104 x 104 x 125mm (4.09 x 4.09 x 4.92 in) and weighing about 1kg (2.2lbs) for the body alone, small enough to fit in one hand.

One interesting point is that, inside, SWIT pairs a 150W 2700K COB LED chip with a 150W 6500K COB LED chip, which, according to the company, gives the fixture a true 150W output at any point across its 2700K-6500K color temperature range. Indeed, most bi-color fixtures have a slight power-output “drop” toward the middle of the CCT range, which shouldn’t happen with the Mini-150B.

In terms of color accuracy, the light has a CRI Ra of 98, a TLCI of 98, and SSI (D55) of 73. The light output should be around 24,000 lux at 1m/3ft with the included reflector. Of course, you can dim the light from 0 to 100%; it is flicker-free, and you have the choice between four different dimming curves: Linear, Log, Exponential, and S-Curve.

Powering options

Designed to be as versatile as possible, the SWIT Mini-150B has three power options: a built-in V-Mount plate, USB-C PD, and AC power.

However, with a V-Mount battery, the full 150W is available only in Turbo mode and only with a battery voltage above 13V. Below that threshold, the light automatically derates. According to SWIT, you’ll get roughly 40 minutes of full Turbo output from a 99Wh V-Mount battery before the fixture steps down to Continuous mode, which caps output at 110W.

If you power the light over USB-C PD via a battery bank or USB-C power adapter, you can achieve outputs of up to 90W with a 100W PD adapter, 50W with a 65W PD adapter, or 40W with a 45W PD adapter. If you use the optional SWIT UC-150 adapter (sold separately), SWIT rates the Mini-150B at 110W on 100-127V mains and 120W on 220-240V mains.

Control, fan, and app

On the left side of the fixture, you’ll find a small display with a dial for quick access to dimmer and CCT settings, plus dedicated pages for lighting effects, app pairing, and system settings. The Mini-150B features multiple built-in lighting effects, such as fireworks, TV flicker, lightning, paparazzi flashes, faulty bulb, and explosion, among others, each with adjustable intensity, frequency, and cycle settings.

You can also control the fixture via SWIT’s free Console App, available for iOS and Android, which connects over Bluetooth Mesh. The app lets you control the fixture remotely, save presets, group multiple fixtures, and perform firmware updates.

Last but not least, the SWIT Mini-150B has a built-in fan. A fan-off “whisper mode” for close-mic podcast and interview setups is available, but it caps the light output at 30W and is only available when the light is powered at 24V or higher (e.g., a 28V/5A adapter). Outside of that mode, the built-in fan runs across Auto, High, Medium, and Low settings.

Mount and included accessories

The Mini-150B features a Mini Bowens mount to attach lighting modifiers. In the box, the light ships with a Mini-to-Standard Bowens adapter, which is very handy, as Bowens-mount modifiers are standard nowadays. The light also comes with a standard reflector with a diffusing cover, a 1/4″ -20 tilt-head baby pin bracket for mounting on a light stand, and a USB-C power adapter with cable.
