The SmallRig Autumn Sale brings discounts of up to 30% on tripods, batteries, lights, phone rigs, and camera cages. Several of the products are relatively new, including the Nano power banks, the iPhone 18 Pro Max cage, and the HawkLock cages for the Sony FX5. The sale will run from today to October 15th, and we went through the list and chose what stands out.
SmallRig ran a similar promotion last October, mainly focusing on some of its long-standing products. This year, the list includes more 2026 releases, many of which we covered at trade shows and at launch. All prices below are US dollar prices from SmallRig’s official Amazon store, so pricing and availability in other regions will differ.
The TRIBEX line, developed with Gene Nagata (Potato Jet), is still SmallRig’s most recognizable accessory product. We had a first look at the original TRIBEX at NAB 2024: a single X-Clutch lever releases and locks all three legs, so you can set up the tripod with one hand. Both current tripods are 25% off here, compared with 20% during last December’s holiday promotion.
Noteworthy deals:
We saw the TRIBEX PRO as a prototype at IBC 2025, where they told us they are aiming for a price under $400. The finished product comes in four configurations: a basic leg-only version, a version with a fold-out base, and two kits that add either a ball head or a fluid video head. A 10% discount is modest next to the tripods, but it applies to a product that has only recently reached retailers.
SmallRig’s other carbon fiber monopods are included as well, with the 175cm / 68.9in carbon fiber video monopod down 20% to $319.99 and the 166.5cm / 65.6in ball head version at $159.99.
Batteries make up the second-largest group in the sale, running from 212Wh V-mount packs down to a pocket power bank with swappable cells.
The Nano36 and Nano72 are the newest items here. We looked at both at IBC 2026: they are USB-C power banks with a 1/4″-20 thread, a detachable V-mount plate, and a retractable USB-C cable built into the body; plus, the Nano72 handles 100W in both directions. For anyone feeding a monitor, a phone rig, or a wireless transmitter over USB-C, they fill the gap below a full V-mount pack.
On the V-mount side, we covered the VB99 SE when it launched. The three 99Wh packs stay below the 100Wh threshold commonly used for air travel, a topic we went through in our guide to flying with batteries in 2026.
SmallRig has included several pocket-sized lights and one softbox:
At these prices, the P96 Neo and P108 Neo are the kind of lights that end up in a side pocket as an eye light or a practical. The softbox is the one item here for anyone who already owns a Bowens-mount COB fixture.
SmallRig redesigned its phone rigging for the iPhone 18 generation, and we went through the iPhone 18 cinema kit with Manny at IBC 2026. The main change was a backplate that accepts standard 67mm screw-on filters. Two of those new products are already discounted.
The two universal rigs are the option for Android phones and older iPhones, since they are not tied to one handset.
Though this category is small, it is still interesting for DJI Osmo Action 6 users, as the Advanced Edition cage is 20% off at $31.99, and the matching ND filter kit is down to $26.39.
The Osmo Pocket 4P did well in our Lab Test, and SmallRig has built a range of accessories around it. We reported on the company’s split filter kits for the Pocket 4P in July.
Though not currently discounted, SmallRig also offers the protective case ($17.99) and the magnetic stand cage ($32.99) for the Pocket 4P.
SmallRig announced its HawkLock cages for the Sony FX5 a week after the camera itself, and the two bare cages are part of this sale.
Both include a removable NATO top plate and an HDMI cable clamp. The Advanced version adds a second top plate, a safety stop on the side NATO rail, and a thread below the lens mount for supporting a mount adapter. The five kits built on these cages appear on the list at their regular prices, from the $139.99 kit for the XLR handle up to the $269.99 Advanced kit with a dual-rod system.
Many buyers are still waiting for the camera after Sony warned of delivery delays and later postponed the release. Check out our Sony FX5 review and Lab Test to pass the time.
The most interesting camera-specific discounts are on the Nikon side, where every ZR item on the list is 30% off.
The kit with top and side handles is the one we covered when it was announced at $164.99, and my colleague Johnnie used that cage on the mini documentary he shot for our Nikon ZR review. The Nikon ZR has few mounting points of its own, which is why a cage matters more on this body than on most.
The campaign is running from today to October 15th. The products above, along with the rest of the sale, are listed in SmallRig’s official Amazon store. The prices in this article are the US figures SmallRig supplied for that store, and they can change during the promotion, so it is worth checking the final price at checkout. You can find the company’s Amazon DE store here, B&H offers here, and for more information, please visit the SmallRig website.
Is there a SmallRig product on this list that has earned a permanent place in your kit, or one you have been waiting to see discounted? Don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments below!
