The pandemic and global worldwide component shortage continue to strike, and Canon recently announced that the Canon EOS R3 and Canon RF 14-35mm F/4 L IS USM lens might face a six-month shipping delay if you place a new order now.

The Canon EOS R3 was officially announced in late September, and with incredible video capabilities, it made a lot of waves on the Internet. The R3 is Canon’s latest flagship mirrorless camera.

It can record video internally in 6K RAW at up to 60P with one of the best autofocus systems available on the market and internal image stabilization. It even just became one of our favorite mirrorless cameras of 2021!

However, If the Canon EOS R3 was on your Santa wishlist, chances are you’ll probably not find it under your Christmas tree.

It means that if you already ordered a Canon EOS R3, the shipping delay will be less severe, and you should receive it much faster. But, if you waited to pull the trigger, you now know what to expect.

But, Canon is not the only company impacted by global semiconductor shortages, as Sony also announced that they’d stop taking orders for their ZV-E10 vlog camera only a few months after the official release.

Did you already receive your Canon EOS R3? Are you still in the waiting queue for the R3? Don’t hesitate to let us know if shipping delays impacted your recent productions!
